Six checkered vessels enter service from Erie Basin, connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan by water.

2005 to 2010

Water Taxi Beach

Three temporary urban beaches brought New Yorkers to the water's edge: Long Island City, then Governors Island and South Street Seaport in 2009.

The IKEA Express Shuttle
